Artist's Comments

The inexorable force behind Rasputina - Melora. From last night's peformance at Dances of Vice.

I was chatting with friends upstairs, and missed the start of the show, so I couldn't get to a better shooting spot. But then I was really there to see the show, not photodocument it. Besides, there were a good dozen other people shooting it - you should be able to find more photos easily if you're interested.

A very good, unique show.

Don't they just put on an amazing show? I saw them in Oregon at Faerie World and actually approached Melora complementing her outfit, without knowing it was her. X3 There was an announcement that Rasputina would be playing and she excused herself, and I went to catch a friend of mine, to go watch the show. SHOCK city when I look up there, and the nice girl I'd been talking to turns out to be singing to the rest of us. X3
That's such a neat shot of her. I really like the lighting around her hips.

Yes, I always enjoy Rasputina shows - especially when Melora is in a talkative mood onstage. :) She is very unassuming - she was hanging out at the merch table for a while prior to the show, and I wonder how many people even realized that.

Lucky you are !!! I would very much wanted to go to this festival, but I live in Paris... There were also Lanthier Lucas and many other great artists... Go to this festival is one of my dreams. :(

Anyway, great picture ! Melora is wonderful on it !

To be fair, Paris has its own advantages. I so miss Les Furieux... :) But thank you, and I hope Rasputina will make it out to France one of these days.

Thanks - I really love Rasputina as well - I'm fortunate to live in the area where they play fairly frequently.
